• 16 pancakes
  • 150 g sugar
  • 200 g ground walnuts
  • 100 g prunes
  • 80 g raisins
  • 2 dcl milk
  • 8 egg whites
  • 100 g icing sugar
  • 1 dcl Slivovitz
  • Cinnamon
  • Raspberry sauce
  • 400 g raspberries
  • 1 dcl raspberry liqueur
  • 100 g sugar
  • 50 g corn starch

Mix the ground walnuts with the prunes and raisins and boil in milk, adding Slivovitz, cinnamon and sugar. Fill the pancakes with this mixture and form them in the shape of the traditional Serbian folk hatcalled ”sajkaca”. Whisk the egg whites gradually adding the icing sugar and spread it on top of the pancakes. Draw the lines along the pancakes and in the middle in order to create the shape identical to the traditional Serbian folk hat. Bake them in the pre-heated oven at 220oC for 4-6 minutes. Garnish with the raspberry sauce and serve.
